When you contact me

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. I use these details to read and reply to your enquiry, discuss a possible project and, if we work together, manage that relationship. For a project enquiry, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); for other messages, it is my legitimate interest in answering correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). Sharing these details is voluntary, but I need a way to contact you to reply.

The form sends your message to my Google-hosted email inbox through Cloudflare Email Sending. It does not store the message in the website database. If an enquiry does not lead to a project, I delete the enquiry correspondence 30 days after our last exchange. If it leads to work, I may keep relevant correspondence for the contract and any applicable legal or accounting obligations.

Keeping the site secure

To limit spam from the form, the site turns your network address into a one-way hash and keeps a short-lived count of submissions. The count is cleared after about one hour. This processing is based on my legitimate interest in protecting the form (Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare also processes technical request data to deliver and secure the site.

Analytics and videos

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and performance. According to Cloudflare, its analytics beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and discards visitors’ IP addresses at the edge. I use aggregate reports to understand and improve the site (Article 6(1)(f)); Cloudflare currently makes these reports available for the previous six months. Cloudflare Web Analytics details.

Project pages may include videos from YouTube. A YouTube video connects to Google only after you choose to load it. Some 360° project viewers load code from jsDelivr only after you choose to explore them. Those providers may then receive technical information about your visit. You can view the rest of the portfolio without loading either feature.

Service providers and international transfers

Cloudflare provides hosting, site security, analytics and form email delivery. Google provides the email inbox and YouTube embeds; jsDelivr delivers code for the optional 360° viewer. These services may process information outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare describes its transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its data processing addendum. Google describes its adequacy and contractual safeguards in its data transfer frameworks. You can ask me for further information using the contact details above.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive portable data where that right applies. Contact me using the email above. You can also complain to the Polish supervisory authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO). The site does not use your contact message for automated decisions or profiling.
